I assume you are using the windows drivers for that video card, I dont think
there are any good drivers out for vista/ nvidia go cards right now.
Disable aero, that helped mine alot.
But I bet its a graphics card driver issue. Check with your laptop vendor
and keep a eye on nvidia.com., try there forums also.

The drivers available from MS are the ones that they have approved from
NVIDIA for the WHQL.
I read an article today that states that Vista does not currently support
hardware acceleration which I suspected, but if true, I would think that
their would be more noise about it in the newsgroup and others.

I had to uninstall the drivers for my Nvidia FX5600XT as they kept making
the computer lock up

so i restarted at Windows vista has installed the graphics card as a
Standard VGA graphics adapter"

ive tried installing the new Nvidia drivers but it says it cant find a
supported graphics card, so what do i do now to get the microsoft WDDM
drivers installed

From what I've been reading wait, keep on looking for new drivers or buy a
Vista compatible card. I have a GeForce FX 5500 OC - same predicament. MS
Vista HCL is a chore to go through and there are a lot of x's instead of
check marks.

Try using the drivers from www.laptopvideo2go.com download the modified inf
and the newer drivers should install OK.
