Graphics problem with Go 7950GTX

Posted: 04-28-2007, 05:14 AM
I just installed Windows Vista today and expected little trouble in playing
my computer games just as I had in windows XP. To my dismay, my expectation
was thwarted.

I own a Clevo 570u laptop with a Core 2 duo T7200 (2.0ghz) Processor ,
Nvidia Go 7950GTX, and 2 gigabytes of 667 mhz ram. In Xp, I ran all
varriations of Valve games (Half-life 2, Half-life 2 Episode 1, Garrys Mod,
Counter Strike: Source) without a hitch running at usually 55-65 FPS. In
vista, on the same settings that I was playing on XP (maximum), I get about
25-30 FPS. I really don't know what to say other than I think it might be my
driver for my video card, but I can't find a vista version (I had to download
some oblong driver from the Nvidia site that wasn't specific to the graphics
card). Help!

If you search on the nVidia website there are dedicated drivers for the GO
card series.
I am pretty sure they are under the Beta drivers section.
I will have a look for them as soon as I get time.

Failing that have a look on www.VistaReadyGames.com as quite a few members
are using the GO cards on Laptops with no problems.

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright
until you hear them speak.........
