| Under New Connection Wizard on the third dialog box titled "Internet Connection" I have three options from which to choose. 1. Connect using a dial-up modem. 2. Connect using a broadband connection that requires a username and password. 3. connect using a broadband connection that is always on. Well, I have a DSL account with the local telephone company and I cannot chose the second option. As a matter of fact, option 1 and 2 are "grayed out." We have been able to connect with no problem. The other night, I shutdown the computer for the night. When I rebooted the next morning, I didn't have a connection. I had the DSL icon on the desktop, but it didn't have any properties associated with it. This is when I tried to re-establish the connection through Ineternet Connection Wizard and noticed the option I needed was "grayed out." Is there a solution or fix for this problem. I talked to the tech. support dept. and their solution was to format the hard drive and re-install Win XP. I just don't buy this as the only solution. Thanks MD | Guest
