Group policy editor HELP!!

Hi guys

I m newbie to vista and i need ur help regarding the group polic
editor option in Vista
I m currently using Vista Home Premium and whenever i type i
gpedit.msc in Run. It replies " Windows cannot find 'gpedit.msc'. Pleas
check spelling blah blah..."
I have read sumwhere that the Group policy editor option is disabled i
Home Premium. 1.) Is it true
2.) Is there no other solution
3.) Will it work in Vista Ultimate

1. There is no Group Policy Editor in the Vista Home editions, just as there
is no Group Policy Editor in the XP Home edition. It isn't disabled; it
doesn't exist.

2. I have no idea if there is any other solution for you because you didn't
tell us what you are trying to do. As a general answer, look at Microsoft's
SteadyState:

3. Yes, just like XP Pro and MCE, Vista Business and Ultimate have the Group
Policy Editor.

Thanks for replying malke

What i want to do is that i want to enable the QoS Packet Scheduler i
such a way so that i can make my reserve bandwith 0. Obviously, i a
"trying" to increase my speed

I'm not sure why you'd be looking at Group Policy for that anyway. If it is
possible to tweak this, the tweaking would probably be done in the
registry. I don't have the answer for you, but a great place for these
sorts of questions is the forums at www.dslreports.com (the name is really
a misnomer since lots more than DSL is covered there).
