hangs at boot!!!

XP just started freaking. Boots up, sees all drives, but
then it hangs on the Verifying DMI pool data screen. When
booting up I get "primary ide channel 80 no cable
conductor installed". I unplugged the hardrives one by
one, and it sees them when they arent there. Whats a
channel 80 cable conductor? I tried to boot from a disk
but its not seeing my master hard drive?
Help?
