Harddrive open error

Posted: 12-26-2003, 03:51 PM
My son downloaded a demo game from WinMX and installed it. Because it wouldn't run it was unistalled. After that the drive won't open normally because it can't find "Hoyle_Card_Games.EXE" to open files. By right clicking and using the OPEN command off the menu I can access the disk.

How do I restore the normal Open procedure for the disk? Is there a Windows file that I can point the drive to in order to open normally?

Go to Start>Run type: msconfig select Startup Tab and uncheck any
reference to Hoyle Card Game.

Looked, nothing under any of the tabs that mentions Hoyle

Maybe the registry?
