Hardware installation problem

Posted: 06-03-2004, 08:45 PM
I hope someone can help me. Any time I try and use the
Device Manager to add anything, it comes up with a message
saying "Cannot install two devices at the same time". The
problem is, I'm not installing anything else. I don't know
how to find it or correct it. I had to go online at work
because I can't add my modem to go online at home. PLEASE
help!!

More information needed.
What are you trying to install? If it's a modem is it USB or PCI. a.s.o.

It is a modem, built into the motherboard. The files are
there, I found them on a search. However, when I go into
Device Manager, there is no Modem listed and when I
attempt to add it, that error message comes up. It's hard
for me to more specific right now because (obviously) I
can't access the Internet from home. I have to wait until
I get to work. Thanks for replying and for any help you
can offer.
