HD not reading over 137 gigs

Posted: 07-09-2003, 06:02 AM
I just recently bought a western digital 200 Gig HD/ 8mb
cache. I have tried everything possible to get my HD to
read over 137 gigs but it won't. Here's a list of what
i've tried.

-updated the bios of my Abit KR7-A
-SP1 on Windows XP home
-tried to enable 48bitlba by adding Reg
value "EnableBigLba"
-downloaded a hotfix that said it would fix the prob
which it didn't
-updated my ATAPI.SYS file to most recent

I have tried all of these methods which claimed to be
able to fix the 137 gig barrier and none of them have. I
know that my motherboard supports it because it shows up
as 200 gigs when i boot up. But while I am in Windows it
only shows up as 137 gigs. If someone could inform me of
any other ways that could fix this problem that would be
of much help. Thank you!!!
