HELP!!!

If anyone here can help me with this question let me
know. Alright I don't know like anything about
computers, so when they ask you if something is hard
drive or soft drive etc. I have no idea what they are
talking about. My dilemma is this. I just bought my
computer in June. When I am typing something in word
perfect 10, which I am assuming is my Windows XP deal, it
wont print. I am in college for my first year so this
creates a problem. There are three different places you
can try to print. The printer icon, the file print
choice, of on the side you can go to finish and then
print. The only one that seems to work is the finish
print option. However, it doesn't always work. I really
need help as to what to do. Please help me!!!!
