Default Help!!!!

I have problems logging on not sure of a message that
continues to pop up as a mishandled exception at a
numbered location. Not sure what this means but when you
answer the ok box a message from Promulgate comes up and
it asks you to report the problem to microsoft.
Well...I've reported it and reported it and now not sure
what to do with it! It appears that this problem is
hindering my ability to log on unless to turn my computer
off and unplug it. I don't want to have to go through
this process every time I want to get on the internet.
Is there someone out there that can help me understand or
fix this issue? Greatly appreciative....Sharyl

First run a virus scan and be sure your antivirus software definitions are
up to date before running the scan.

Second, if everything is ok, go to Control Panel, open Adiministrative
Tools, open Event Viewer and look for any errors that correspond to when
the event occurred. Double click the error, the information contained
within may give a clue as to the source of the problem.

Third, be sure all your drivers are up to date, especially for your graphics
card and soundcard and any peripherals connected to the system. Go to the
device manufacturer's web sites for this do not use Windows Update. Ignore
messages the driver has not been tested by Microsoft if you receive such a
message in installing updated drivers.

Assuming you have an actual XP CD and not a recovery CD, place the XP CD in
the drive, when the setup screen appears, select "Check System
Compatibility" the report it generates may give a clue as to the source of
the problem.

Error reports go into a Microsoft database used for addressing common issues
with future updates or later versions of the operating system.
