HELP...i cant hear no noise

Hey. I need some help please i can not hear a noise
comin out of my speakers. Every time i trie to go to
volume controll it says THERE ARE NO ACTIVE MIXTER
DEVICES AVALIBLE. TO INSTALL MIXER DEVICES, GO TO
CONTROL PANES, CLICK PRINTERS AND OTHER HARDWARE, AND
THEN CLICK ADD HAREDWARE. And every time i do that it
wont work so PLEASE if there is any one out there that
can help me please tell me.
