Help with readyboost needed

I have a problem using readyboost, i have a 512mb and a 1GB memory stick
which are both formatted and when i try to use them as readyboost it says
that they do not meet the specied specs, what can i do to reslove this?

Alot of people seem to be having this problem, and there is no solution yet.
Microsoft has said that because of the way cheaper memory sticks are made,
they may not work with Windows Vista; however, alot of people with higher-end
memory sticks also get this error.

The only advice I've seen is to keep pressing the retest button until you
see the light come on on the memory stick, and see if you can eventually get
Windows to take it.
