| Running xp home and the restore points that i have created and the ones that are automatically created via the system or when new software is installed seem to be vanishing within a couple of weeks. My restore is "enabled" and maximized to 12%. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Any help would be appreciated. Comp USA has no clue even though they are the ones that installed xp back in August of this year. I really don't want to re install xp due to much software installed thereafter. Please help! | Guest

| Rick; Many things can cause loss of Restore Points, when they are gone, they are gone and can not be recovered or used. Some of the things are: Available space on hard drive Computer usage Space you dedicate to System Restore If you use Real Player, try doing without it for a few days: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=812119 And others.
