Help: Sound Card Not Starting

Laptop shows no audio output devices installed,

but when I go into hardware it shows I have a "High Definition Audio Device."

Properties say, "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

I've checked for updates and disabled and enabled it to see if it was a
simple fix.

ANY ideas? Know the name of the software I might have to download?

I can uninstall it, but I don't want to unless I know what software to
download after.

What is the make and model of your laptop? In Device Manager, you are
seeing the generic Microsoft driver for high definition sound. It's
incomplete, and needs to have the specific driver for your hardware.
