Help with Internet explorer

Whenever I start my computer I get a spyware alert which prompts me to
go to a website and either download a freeware or purchase one. This
is continiously happening eventhough I have an antivirus software
installed.

I also have a little unknown icon next to my other icons which always
keeps flashing.

I want to get rid of it ..........guys >
