Go for it. They run great. I've only tried COD2 and Q4.

Call of Duty 2 works on windows vista just great while playing but not
configuring at least for me. When i change graphics settings and apply
changes i get a blue screen and system restarts and nothing is saved. I'm
running windows as administrator and i set full permissions in call of duty 2
folder...

Do you guys get this problem? in vista 5384.

Another bug in vista are the keys, when you're typing in console or talking
to someone, some special chars are changed, for example, if ou want to type
an underscore you use the question mark key, the same for some others but not
for letter keys.

That's a problem with keyb layout, if you set it in a different order, LA,
US, it depends, and about bluescreens, did you install the XP or the Vista
drivers?

that could be a problem with the drivers, and the keyboard layout

so far lineage 2, BF2, battlefield 1942, Martial heroes, and a couple others
run just fine I had to run one of them as administrator then change file
permissions but no biggie
