Hello all i hope someone can help me. i have a acer comp running vista
program, i downloaded a program from a website and uninstalled it at a later
date. now it keeps over riding my default page even when i change it and
reset to new page. thanks

This really isn't a hardware question. You do not give any details needed
to help you. Try microsoft.public.windows.vista.general and give the
details of your computer, edition of Vista, the program you downloaded, and
what you mean by "default" page.

It's time to install some anti-spy ware and anti-adware software
and run a system scan to remove it.
Since the malware is not a virus, chances are your virus checker did not
pick it up

Download, install, update and scan you system with "Spybot Search & Destroy,
version 1.5.2", available form the above link, to remove any garbage you have
picked up!
