Again, great idea. However, I had already created the Recovery disk
but presumed that it was an all or nothing scenario. An examination o
each disk proves that the programs are not available individually. Yo
have to boot from the first disk which suggests that a complete restor
is the only option

Back to Plan A, which is to call HP. Thanks again

Hi All

I have just purchased an HP laptop with Vista Home Premium. I a
trying to install an MSDN version of Vista Ultimate. I have all Window
Updates installed. When I drag my way through the install process
enter the license key ( yet again ), when it gets to install, I get thi
message that it can't do an upgrade because I am trying to install
32-bit OS on top of a 64 bit OS. However I KNOW that I selected the x6
option when doing the install, what gives

I would do a clean install, however I am not sure where to get to ge
the install programs for my HP afterwards...

Ideas
