How can I configure a PPPoE connection on Ubuntu?

Default How can I configure a PPPoE connection on Ubuntu?

I opened a terminal and typed "sudo pppoeconf" and and followed the instructions. I did everything, and at the end, when I typed "sudo pon dsl-provider" to connect, internet still didn't work.
