How do I burn a CD of WMA files on WMP?

Posted: 01-13-2005, 07:59 AM
I'm wondering how I can burn a CD of WMA files using WMP. I'd like to be able
to play the WMA's on my portable cd player, but every time I try to make a
disc, the WMA's are converted and I can only get about the regular ten to
twelve songs on the disc.

Also, I made the mistake of not turning off the copy protection function
when I uploaded a bunch of my cd's to my computer. Now I can't copy them with
third party software. Is there any way to turn off the copy protection after
files have been copied onto the hard drive??

Thanks very much.

Specify Data CD, not Audio CD. If using WMP v10, the option is at the
bottom of the burn window.

Mike, I'm using WMP10, and to select to create a data disk is near the top
right of the Burn window by clicking the down arrow, not the bottom.

We should be more precise - it's at the bottom of the Burn List. It's at
the top of the Burn pane. I don't use the latter as it's slow as
molasses to populate anything.
