| I am trying to lock some folders on my computer but I am not sure how to do this. I just want the user to have to input a password to open a particular folder. My OS is Win XP. Thank you to whoever helps me with this. | Guest

| Which Windows XP do you have? Professional or Home Edition? Folder protection on WinXP works a bit different then you imagine. Windows will take your logon username and password and if you have the appropriate rights (set on the folder) then you will be allowed to get access to the files inside. If you don't have the rights you will get "Access Denied" error... -- Mike MCSA 2K, MCSE 2K, MCT, ... "Vorheez" <dutchmstr@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:024201c35605$dc9b8230$a401280a@phx.gbl...
