How Do I Retrieve or Reload Previously Loaded Drivers?

Posted: 08-26-2003, 05:15 PM
Help: WinXP, PIII, 600, 384 MB RAM, 120 GB HD. I have used
Windows Update to load more recent video drivers from MS
site. Well, I then got the latest and greatest from
Nvidia recently. That driver has proven to be really
unstable (I crash ALL THE TIME NOW DUE TO THAT). Going
back to Windows Update, I can see in the history the name
of the driver and version. I have tried all approaches,
but I am unable to find or make the update page re-update
the driver. Rolling back the driver gets me the very
basic VGA.sys or something like that (I believe an
uninstall does the same thing). Do I need to reinstall
XP? Is there a reference in the registry(haven't ever
edited a registry key). Thanks, Chau
