| Dear All, I am new to windows vista. So I created an account and made it as administrator. Then within this same account I install a software but unfortunately it doesnt work. It says that I required the system administrative to allow this program. The problem now I am stuck I dont know how to login into this administrative I know in xp it is ctl + alt + del. So I have tried using the method of net user via the cmd prompt but unfortunately when I log off I still dont see the real administrative login. Please help I need this urgently. Thanks in advacne. | Guest

| Newbie When you use the net user command, make sure you are using an elevated command prompt. Go to Start / All Programs / Accessories. Right click 'Command Prompt' and select the 'Run as administrator' option. In the command prompt window, type the following command: net user administrator /active:yes Press Enter. -- Ronnie Vernon Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/User "newbie" <newbie@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8091BA04-3746-4745-AECB-47BD23546609@microsoft.com... See if this tutorial will be able to help you with the the solution Ronnie gave you. You need to logoff before you will see the new Administrator icon picture displayed. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67...r-account.html Shawn -- brink *There are no dumb questions, just the people that do not ask them.* WWW.VISTAX64.COM (\"HTTP://WWW.VISTAX64.COM\") *Please post feedback to help others.* | Guest
