| Hi Steve, This was due to the .Net Framework update. It adds a user. To correct the behavior: 1. Go to Start/Run and type in: control userpasswords2 and press ok. 2. On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To Use This Computer check box and then click OK. 3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name and password for the account you want to be logged on each time you start your computer. Add Control UserPasswords2 to the Control Panel (Line 1) http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm -- All the Best, Kelly MS-MVP Win98/XP [AE-Windows® XP] Troubleshooting Windows XP http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm Top 10 Frequently Asked Questions and Answers http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/top10faqs.htm "Steve Fielitz" <stevef1@optonline.net> wrote in message news:06c601c36604$f049da20$a601280a@phx.gbl... | Type in Start - Run control userpasswords2 and clear the box that says users must enter names. It probably the Net Framework as it needs it's own user account. "Steve Fielitz" <stevef1@optonline.net> wrote in message news:06c601c36604$f049da20$a601280a@phx.gbl... Quote:
