How to stop auto popup of dialup box

Hi all
I have a 2 computer crossover network on my machine and a
56K dialup.

About every 10-15 minutes or so when I am just using the
machine I get a popup box wanting me to connect to the
dialup service. Not been able to find out how to stop
this. Can I set it so it only comes up when I want to
connect.

To stop your computer from trying to auto connect when not
told to goto control panel internet options then goto
connections select (never dial a connection)this should
stop the pop up window and not affect anything else.
