Default How to Stop or Clear Autofill on Search Engines?

I apologise if this is the wrong newsgroup to be asking this question, but I
can't find a better newsgroup for that topic. Anyway, I always get the best
answers here anyway.

Can anyone tell me how to stop the search box in an explorer window from
anticipating what I am going to type in as a search? I would like to clear
that history on msn search and on google search. I don't mean clear the
history of pages I have been to, I mean that I would only like to clear what
I have typed into the search bar, so that it will stop trying to anticipate
what I am going to type.

Thanks for your help!
