Pretty sure that it is a part of the Aero "experience." If it isn't
enabled, enable it. If you don't have the option, it may be that your video
card is not Aero compatible.

I am using Intel on board display card. So it should be not support Aero.

You have Aero. It is Aero Glass that you don't have. Aero is just the
theme. Glass is the 3D and transparency effects.

Is there a registry hack to enable the "Show Window Previews (thumbnails)"?
I'm on a IBM T40 laptop with a ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 and that option is
greyed out on the 5600 build.
