Hi All,

Not to ask too stupid a question, but how do I
modify the "administrators" password from a "user"
account that has administrative privileges?

Many thanks,

Hi,

"Administrators" with an "s" is a group. "Administrator" is a a user, but
inactive by default in Vista. It can be enabled and have its password
modified under the local user manager snap-in (lusrmgr.msc) in the Users
folder.

If you are using a Vista Home system, that snap-in is not available, but the
account can be activated and manipulated from an elevated command prompt
with "net user adminstrator active:yes"
