I have the same problem here. When I try print copies from
Windows XP to LOCAL PRINTER (lpt1) or to another machine
with Windows2000, the copies are printed ok. But when I
try print copies from Windows XP to machine running
Windows98, only one copy is printed. WindowsXP is with
SP1. What more we have to do ? Any idea ? Thanks.

I have seen this issue previously but am still unable to reproduce the
problem. This functionality is the responsibility of the print processor.
The print processor that XP ships with is winprint (Printer Properties
/Advanced / Print Processor ). The connection I have to a Win98 shared
Digital printer and Epson printer has the print processor as Winprint and
the datatype set to RAW. On the Win98 system the Spool data format is RAW
( Print Properties, Details, Spool Settings).

Are these settings the same as yours? I know some vendor build a print
processor. It all depends on the printer
