how to stop some id form showing in the login screen?

There are some service IDs and some rarely used test IDs on one vista
standalone pc. I prefer them to appear after control alt del to start login.

No, the point of secure logon is different to his query. See here for
explanations on what secure logon is:

When using the domain syle logon, you can set security policy to not display
the last user that signed in, but when using the welcome screen style logon,
you get all users displayed. This is annoying if you have made accounts
solely for making shares, for remote desktop users, or when you have test
accounts, like the OP has here.

Look at the post here by the knowledgable Andrew McLaren, on how to hid
accounts from the Welcome Screen:
