How to Use Folders in Windows Mail

Posted: 01-21-2009, 05:27 PM

In XP and Outlook I had Folders titled “Tennis Group”, “Friends US”
“Village Group”, etc. Those came up when I hit To, Reply & Forward in m
emails. I opened them and clicked on the desired ones to add to th
address line

In Vista Contacts I made the same groups, but when in Windows Mail
hit “To:” or try to use “Reply or Forward” only a list of maybe 25
names and my “Contact Groups” come up -- no Folders of names to open an
use

I know how to get “Contact Groups”, I would like the Folders to b
available for use

Your post belongs in the mail newsgroup -
microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail.
As far as I know, Windows Mail does not use folders, it uses categories. You
can select a category and remove the names you don't want to send to.

Windows Mail uses "Groups".

Windows Live Mail uses "Categories", from whence you can select/remove
contact addresses.
