hp 1215 photo printer

I use the HP 1215 as well and the install CD I have (only one) covers
Windows 98,Me,2000 and XP, all on the same CD.


Unplug the printer from your system and uninstall all referance to the
1215,
next shut your computer down,plug in the printer and boot up,do not install
the drivers until promted by the install wizard to do so, if indeed XP is
not listed on your install CD choose browse and direct the install wizard to
the driver that you downloaded.
Is this what you've been doing?
