HP 6L "Out of paper" error on starting

Posted: 07-22-2004, 12:13 PM
Often when I try to print to my attached HP 6L printer, the printer does not work. When I check the printer status it says "out of paper" even if there is paper in the bin, and even after I take the paper out and replace it. If I turn the computer off and reboot, the printer always works. I see there is an NT update for what sounds like the same problem. Is there something similar for XP?
