HP a250n computer sound incompatibility with Windows XP professional

Posted: 07-03-2003, 10:41 PM
I purchased a Hewlett-Packard a250n computer loaded with
Windows XP Home version. When I loaded Windows XP
Professional version, it (the software) can't recognize
the sound card/device in the computer. The device is
designated by HP as:
INTEGRATED AC'97 WITH 6-CHANNEL CONFIGURABLE AUDIO
HP offers no drivers for this set up. If there is a
driver system to make Professional compatible with this
machine....where is it? How can I get it? ASAP,
please!!!
