I have several PC's (desktop & Laptop) wirelessly printing thru a Fios DLink
network to an HP C6180 with no problems. Now I'm trying to add/install
driver &/or software for HPC6180 on my wife's ToshibaSatellite M45 S-169
Laptop. Installation fails as software installer cannot find the printer on
the network. I can ping the printer IP address, no problem, but the software
won't complete the install.
1. If I direct the install to wirelessly search for IP address it finds the
printer but won't complete the install....says it can't find the printer on
the network.
2. If I direct the install to use the USB cable to search, connects
successfully/finds the printer but won't complete the install...says it can't
find the printer on the network.
Have run thru the support process with HP...they say it's the laptop since
the other PC's/Laptop work fine. Toshiba says it's not a hardware problem
since it can see the printer....they say it must be windows or windows
settings or some such issue, such as sharing settings, etc.
Any help is most definitely appreciated.
