hp officejet 710 quit after update

After automatic Microsoft update on 9/4 (KB824105) my HP
Officejet 710 all-in-one is no longer compatible. Was
working fine before update. I have done all the
troubleshooting, from uninstalling, re-installing,
changing the lpt to ecp, getting an updated driver from
hp...which will download BUT NOT INSTALL. Port is
checking out fine, however test print page has no
communication with printer.

PLEASE HELP
