HP Officejet 7200 Will Not Print

Posted: 12-02-2005, 07:36 PM
I have a HP Officejet 7200 printer that is (has been up until now) connected
through a Linksys wireless-G broadband router, to my HP laptop computer and
also to my desktop computer, using Charter's broadband service. As of
yesterday, I have been getting the following message when I try to print from
either of the computers:

"The print spooler was unable to connect to your printer. This can be caused
by your printer being turned off, the cable being unplugged or being
connected to a VPN which will block your access to your local network."

I was able to print yesterday morning. Even after getting a few of these
same printing errors when I tried to print, the laptop would suddenly decide
to print an item, then no more. This morning, I was able to print one test
page, and then more error messages. So, I am guessing the computers are
connecting at least part of the time with the printer. The printer is turned
on. As near as I can tell, the cables are all connected. However, when I try
to run the setup from the printer, I get a message on the printer that the
computer is not connected.

I do not know what a "VPN" is.

Can anyone help me locate my problem??

Thanks,
--
Rusty
