I am still getting problems with vista rebooting

Posted: 11-02-2006, 08:44 AM
I thought that I had cracked it, I have RC2 installed and for a while my
system has been stable but the old problem is back again, system keeps
rebooting for no apparent reason and I get a message saying that vista has
recovered from an unexpected shutdown (or similar)
Any ideas what I should be looking for?

I am running vista ultimate RC2 x 86

ASUS A8N-E
Nvidia Geoforce 6800 LE
AMD x 64 Dual core 3800+
4gb DDR 3200
300gb HDD

Over-loaded power supply.

Yep, running your very braggable configuration, I bet you need a 500w-600w
power supply for all that hungry hardware, video, and memory. Heck, I had
to go to a 450w for my Northwood/Prescott 3.2ghz MSI to avoid the unexpected
boot. And be sure to oversize it so you are good for upgrades...wish I had
: ( .
