| I don't know when this happened, but my wife tried to log on today and she gets the welcome screen and then a black screen appears and none of her settings load. The same thing happens when I try to log on to the admin account. I have to alt control delete to be able to log on as myself from this position. Does anyone know what has caused this and more importantly how i can fix it? Thanks | Guest

| Hello, what if you set your wife's account as an administrative account? Will it work then? Greetings, P. | Thanks for your input. No it doesn't work. I already have an Owner ac set as admin and that doesn't work either. I have tried creating another user account and copying my wife's settings but that doesn't work either. "P. Di Stolfo" wrote: Quote:

| So no one can help me then? I came to the community of experts and I can't find out what has caused this problem or how it should be fixed. If I had to reinstall Vista is there any tutorial that guides me through this process? Thanks "steve" wrote: Quote:

| Hello, * here's a guide for you: http://vistasupport.mvps.org/repair_..._vista_dvd.htm This will do an "Upgrade" over the existing Vista installation. * http://www.windowsreinstall.com : Windows reinstall guides. I don't think this is a "community of experts", just a community with (some good) experts who help out. I'm not an expert, I'm just trying to be helpful. Greetings, P.
