I need help with a router and networking issue

I hope this is the right place to post this question. I was not totally sure.
I noticed that when I try to install a Norton Internet Security 2008 software
after first reinstalling it and reinstalling it, it now no longer recognizes
my home wired router for my VOIP Vonage broadband phone network. I was on
with 3 different reps and even a senior tech with SYmantec and none of them
can figure out why it cannot secure the router for Vonage through the
Symantec software now. I was able to before. Can anyone help me?

HI
If it works without NIS 2008, and Symantec people can not make it work. I
would say By BY and choose another Firewall.
Actually if you are running Vista there is No reason to use another
Firewall.

Actually norton IS the best there is. I love Vista but using norton internet
security is better, has more features and keeps my computer safe than without
it. THey rated and proved it in several tests and magazines and I know it
works. I am saying that the network feature is for computers connected to
other networks. Norton works and supports Microsoft so you should be happy.
