I need help with Sync

Posted: 03-31-2007, 02:38 PM
Greetings All,

I finally got my Desktop and Laptop to connect with a Crossover Cable. What
I didn't realize is that the firewall had a time limit for being off that was
only set on 15 minutes. So even though I had turned it off, it came back on.
Oh well, live and learn.

The Laptop is running XP SP2 and the Desktop is running Vista Home Premium.
Ok, so with both computers connected and showing up on my Network screen, I
went into Sync Center, but it doesn't show the laptop as a Sync Partnership.
I tried to create it, but it didn't find anything to create the partnership
with.

Now, I've read that Sync may not be available on this version, HOWEVER, it
also said I couldn't network and I did anyway. So, my question to you gurus
is how to get my files to sync once I make the connection with the Crossover
Cable? I can open the Laptop files on the desktop once connected, but I can't
figure out how to get the two main files to synchronize.

Can anyone help??
