IDE devices reported as SCSI

Posted: 10-19-2003, 05:28 PM
My device manager shows my HDD and CDRW and DVD ROM all as
SCSI devices. This is weird since they're all IDE devices
but generaly does not create a problem until you try to
burn something using Nero which goes bananas trying to
access the writer as a SCSI device. Also causes computer
to crash and ruins the CD. Any ideas?

Strider, does your motherboard have Raid Channels. If so, they show up as
SCSI devices. Primary and Secondary IDE
should show them as IDE.
