IE6, XP SP1a, Checked Build?

Has anyone noticed the following IE 6 crash: An exception occurs in
MSHTMLED.DLL after applying Windows Updates to a Checked Build of Windows XP
SP 1A.

I apply a number of updates, but I only see one in the Add/Remove Programs.
If I remove Q824145, the crash goes away.

Steps I took (I don't know if they recreate):

1. Install Windows XP Pro Checked Build.

2. Updated with Windows XP Pro SP1a (for Checked Build).

3. Install Symbols (not sure but I'm giving all of my steps).

4. Do Windows Update, add all critical and recommended.

5. After updated/restarted, etc., start IE, go to Windows Update again, or
go to any web site, and browse to a page or two, and the program error
dialog appears indicating an exception in MSHTMLED.DLL.

As mentioned, removing Q824145 from Add/Remove will make the problem go
away.

This is regarding a checked build, and I cannot seem to find any articles or
documentation on Windows Update and Checked Builds. Is Windows Update
supposed support Checked Builds, or are there some docs/articles that
explain the deal with such? Not sure, but if someone knows something, that'd
be great.
