If Media extenders are blocked by Group Policy...

Posted: 10-23-2007, 05:30 PM
Not sure if this should go here or not but...

I use my personal laptop at work. There its on a domain. Checking the
exceptions Media extenders are checked and with a NO under group pol. When i
try to connect at home using my home profile, it finds the extender, but
can't connect to it.

When i first got the laptop, it worked great, since joining it to domain,
nada.

I'm wondering/hoping there's something i can do on the home profile that
will override the group pol. Doubtful..but something. I can't ask them to
disable the policy becuase while my boss is ok with me using my personal
laptop, the IT department frowns on it.
