iis on vista basic edition

Posted: 09-27-2007, 02:00 PM
Hello, after vista installation, I used add/remove components and added iis.
I did it several times, the basics then with .net components and etc. Each
time, the Inetpub folder has been creted and under "services" I could see
that IIS admin + Web publishing services are running. The problem is that I
don't see anything in the MMC and cannot manage the default web site. When I
use cmd to add/remove snap-in in a new mmc I don't see anything related to
iis or web publishing. I think basic edition is capable of running iis
otherwise it would not show these items under the services section. Please
comment, thanks.
