Im going INSANE!!!!!

Ok here is exactly what is going on.....Yesterday I
posted a question as to what I can do to retreive Roxio 6
which I "uninstalled" You see, I have had an awful hard
time with my computer since I bought it about 3 months
ago and it was because the idiot who sold it to me was
supposed to be a friend and I was supposed to be getting
a "deal" Well after 3 "professionals" can't find anything
wrong, 4 1/2 days in "repair" $100.00 in payment for all
these things and finally $25.00 more to have the whole
thing formatted and returned to me with Windows XP, Roxio
6 and a bunch of other stuff. It works great for about a
week and I am finally understanding how people get
attached to them and enjoy them when on about day 6
with "my new computer that finally works" when I start it
up it tells me that an audio device drivers are making
windows "unstable" and will cause it to screw up and shut
down. Well I think that it must be the Roxio 6 because it
is my audio(I think) so I uninstall the whole thing only
to find the next time I start the computer it says the
same thing!!! So I ask if anyone knows how to get roxio
back yesterday and an extremely tolerant person emailed
me with several different things to try God love them but
still I cannot figure this out ( I am not a stupid person
and usually figure things out relatively quickly) So here
I am with brand new high speed internet that I have not
as of yet been able to enjoy, a computer that is so slow
that it takes about 15 minutes to get "online" and this
f#@!*n pop up every time I turn the computer on which
tells me that my computer is being unstable and is going
to shut down!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know what to do but my
next alternative is to throw the f#@!*n thing out the
window and go back to the good old fashioned
way..........Please someone help me not have to go back
there????

As you have discovered Roxio has nothing to do with your problem. As I see
it, the problem is with your audio drivers. Windows is telling you that they
are not the correct ones. Go to Windows Update (click Start, All Programs,
Windows Updates, click on Scan for Updates). See if you have driver updates;
if so download and install them. If there are no audio updates there, you
need to go to the website for your sound card and look for the correct XP
drivers for your card. They will have instructions there on the proper way
to install the drivers.
