OK, I can increase the number of rings before my machine
picks up; how can I increase the number of rings my
machine tries before giving me the "no answer" error
message when sending a fax?

I do not see an option to set sending rings...... Just receiving!

Me, too! Seems a little silly, though. You ought to be able
to specify both. If anyone knows of a "trick"...
Thanks!

I think that is a feature of your local phone company.... that it sends some
kind of message to your PC/Fax to tell it there is no answer from the number
you are calling.

It has been long time since I have played with the modem commands but you
may want to look over the modem command set and specifically register S38.
See the info here:
http://www.usr.com/support/3453b/345...registers.html. This
info basically is fairly common to all modems. You do need to know little
bit about the 'AT' modem commands.
