Indexing service fliter daemon

Continuously getting error message "Indexing Service
filter daemon has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

This "popup" shows about every 60 seconds or more often at
times. Gives option of sending error report or closing.
Have sent error report.

Would welcome any help. Thanks.

Though this is not really a solution you could go to Control
Panel>Administrative Tools>Services. Scroll down to
Indexing Service and rt click>select Properties>Startup Type select
Manual. That may stop the popups.

Indexing service fliter daemon

JOHN: What do you have the SEARCH doggy set on? Go to
search and you will see options to index. Click this and
deselect the indexing feature. This takes a huge amount
of space compared to the time you are in search mode. Or,
you can go control panel and work down till you find
indexing. I've tried indexing and it is not worth it.
