Installation asking for DVD Driver? +Side Note

Posted: 09-25-2006, 02:05 AM
Let's see, I boot from my DVD drive, start things rolling, and as soon as it
starts things up it's asking me for a DVD driver? Excuse me? You've been
running off the DVD drive why are you asking me for a driver for the DVD rom?

Vista RC1 just downloaded it today, 32 bit version. Loaded XP back up and
ran the "check your hardware" and nothing pulls up a flag, but yet it asks
for a DVD driver during installation.

On a side note, can Vista, if I can get past step one lol, be installed on a
seperate HD and leave my main XP drive alone, if not is there a way to
"clone" my one drive to my second drive so I can leave a good copy of what I
got now and trash the other drive with Vista?

Thanks

- Eric
