installation freezes at green-blue backroung

Ive burnt the x64 version of the 5600 beta, but i cant install it :/

Everything works fine until the nice background comes... at which point i
can see the windows hourglass briefly and after that nothing except for the
background image.

I have no clue as to what may be causing the problem...

Here are my pc specifications:
athlon 64 3500+ venice
2*512 mb ocz 3200 vx @ 2-2-2-6
Sapphire Radeon x850xt pe
dfi lanparty ultra-d
2*250gb seagate 7200.8 (sata) (disks 1 and 2)
1*40gb seagate (pata) (disk 3)
enermax coolergiant 480W
USB keyboard and mouse

I have tried several BIOS versions, default clock speeds, removing sata or
pata drives... nothing seems to work...

Im currently have windows xp sp2 installed on a 20gb ntfs partition on disk
1, a 20gb ntfs backup partition on disk 3, and a 424gb (sfs?) striped
partition spanning disk 1 and 2. Im using the windows built in raid software.

Any suggestions?
